Our Company - History

1989
Laboratory automation system research and development program led by Rodney S. Markin, M.D., Ph.D. begins at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

1993
Rodney S. Markin, M.D., Ph.D. founds LAB-InterLink, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska as a result of the laboratory automation system research and development program conducted at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Using his personal resources as start-up capital, Dr. Markin and his team transforms the University developed concepts and technology into a functioning, supportable clinical laboratory automation system.

1995
Laboratory automation system research and development program concludes at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)

2000
LAB-InterLink acquires LABOTIX™ Automation, Inc., a Canadian laboratory automation provider, in March 2000, uniting LAB-InterLink's comprehensive software with LABOTIX™'s hardware experience.

2002
LAB-InterLink signs the largest contract in the company's history for 2.3 million dollars with a laboratory of a leading health maintenance organization, who serves 8.1 million members in 9 states and the District of Columbia.

2003
LAB-InterLink celebrates their tenth anniversary on January 29, 2003

2007
LAB-InterLink Canada Inc. emerges from bankruptcy protection.
June 2007 Name Changed to LABOTIX Automation Inc.
